Scheme of the Examination for SSC SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT IN IMD Examination:
The SSC Scientific Assistant examination would comprise 200 questions carrying 200 marks for two hours duration. The SSC Scientific Assistant question paper would have two parts, Part - I & Part - II.

In Part-II, there will be three separate papers on (i) Physics, (ii) Computer Science and Information Technology, and (iii) Electronics and Telecommunications. Candidates will have the option to choose any one of the above three question papers in Part-II
Note: Candidates are not permitted to bring or use Mobile Phone, Calculators or any other electronic/ electrical device for answering any paper. Candidates must not, therefore, bring Mobile Phone, Calculators or any other electronic/electrical device inside the Examination premises. Possession of these items, whether in use or not, will be considered as “use of unfair means” in the Examination and appropriate action will be taken by the Commission against such candidates, as per extant policy of the Commission.
Note: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Part-I& II. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
Note: Discrepancies in question paper should be brought to the notice of the Commission through online challenge system when representations are invited by the commission after the examination. Representations submitted thereafter and through any other means will not be entertained.
