At present, only online applications are invited from candidates for admission to the OPSC OCS preliminary/ main written examination. After declaration of result of main written examination, the candidate, who qualify to appear at the V.V. Test, will be required to submit the printout/hard copy of online application form, along with the photocopies of the other documents on or before the date to be notified later, for consideration of their eligibility.

OPSC OCS Eligibility Criteria:
Citizenship : A candidate must be a citizen of India.
OPSC OCS Educational Qualification : A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any University incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature in India.
OPSC OCS Age : (as on 01/01/2021)
Minimum age - 21 years
Maximum age - 32 years
A candidate must not have been born earlier than 2nd January 1989 and not later than 1st January 2000
OTHER ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS For OPSC :
He/she must be able to read, write and speak Odia and have -
(a) Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a Language subject; or
(b) Passed HSC or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject; or
(c) Passed in Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class-VII from a School or Educational Institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government; of
(d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department of the Government of Odisha.
Plan And Conduct of OPSC OCS Examination :
The OPSC Civil Services Examination will consist of following stages :
(i) OPSC OCS Preliminary Examination
(ii) OPSC OCS Main Examination
(iii) Personality Test or Interview
No. of Attempts in the OPSC OCS Examination:
For SC/ST - Unlimited number of attempts
Other backward caste- 7 attempts
General - 4 attempts
