SSC Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2021

The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group C Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc., in different States/Union Territories and Havaldar (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

SSC MTS EMOLUMENTS : Pay Band-1 (Rs5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs1800,(Revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC : Pay Level in Pay Matrix– Level-1) Grade : General Central Service Group C Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Government of India, in different States/Union Territories.

SSC MTS ELIGIBILITY : 

Nationality

A candidate must be either :

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the Ist January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary will be admitted to the Examination provisionally but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India. 

SSC MTS Age Limit (As on 01-01-2022):  

The SSC MTS Age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are :

18-25 years as on 01.01.2022 (i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1997 and not later than 01.01.2004)  for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue)

18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and few posts of MTS.

Note-I : Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/ExS/ etc. categories is available as per extant Govt. Orders.

NOTE-II : The Commission reserves the right to fill up analogous posts in other Ministries/Organizations under the Government from this recruitment.

Note-III : Separate applications will need to be made, if any candidate wants to apply for vacancies in more than one State/UT.

SSC MTS Educational Qualifications (as on 01.01.2022)

Must have passed Matriculation Examination OR equivalent from a recognized Board.

SSC MTS SCHEME OF EXAMINATION :
The SSC MTS examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Paper-I) and a Descriptive Paper (Paper-II).

SSC MTS Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only.
The SSC MTS questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-II, III & IV .

SSC MTS Paper I exam covers following subjects :

General English
General Intelligence & Reasoning
Numerical Aptitude
General Awareness

SSC MTS Paper-II (Descriptive) :

Date of SSC MTS Tier-II Examination (Descriptive Paper) : To be Notified

SSC MTS Paper-II will be of descriptive type in which the candidate will be required to write a short essay or letter in English or any language included in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution.

SSC MTS Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of categorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements. However, marks scored by the candidates in Paper-II will be used to decide merit in case more than one candidate score equal normalized marks in Paper-I.

Paper-II will be held only for those candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories.

HOW TO APPLY SSC MTS APPLICATION FORM : Applications must be submitted in online mode only at the official website of SSC Headquarters i.e. https://ssc.nic.in. 

Last date for submission of SSC MTS online applications is 30-04-2022 (23:00).
Candidates are advised in their own interest to submit online applications much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability or failure to login to the SSC website on account of heavy load on the website during the closing days.

The Commission does not accept any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of the Commission.

SSC MTS APPLICATION FEE :
Fee payable : Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only)

Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes(SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee

SSC MTS Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 02-05-2022 (23:00 hours). 

However, candidates who wish to make the cash  payment through Challan of SBI, may make the payment in cash at the Branches  of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 03-05-2022 provided the Challanhas been generated by them before 04-05-2022 (23:30 hours).

Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected.

No representation against such rejection will be entertained.
Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor will it be adjusted against any other examination or selection.
