LIC Assistant Eligibility Criteria (as on 01.02.2020)
A) LIC Assistant Educational Qualification (as on 01.02.2020)
A. For AE (Civil): B.Tech/B.E. (Civil) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum three years working experience in planning and execution of multi storied building projects with all required infrastructure.
B. For AE (Electrical): B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum three years working experience in planning and execution of multi storied building projects with all required infrastructure.
C. For Assistant Architect: B. Arch. from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should be registered with Council of Architecture and possess a minimum of three years experience in designing of all types of buildings with allied services. Candidate should also be well versed with green building design requirements and application of AutoCAD software and / or similar type software.
D. For AE (Structural): M. Tech / M.E. (Structural) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/ Institution. Candidate should be well versed with structural design of high rise building with the foundation system. He/she should be familiar with various standards of BIS pertaining to structural design and Foundation design and must be experienced in handling of structural engineering software like ETABS, STAAD etc. Candidates applying for the post must possess minimum one year hands on experience in the area.
E. For AE (MEP engineers): B. Tech./ B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum three years experience in planning and execution of Plumbing / Piping/ HVAC system, Lift & Fire Fighting system, Electrical Sub-station in multi storied buildings.
F. For AAO (Chartered Accountant) - Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountant and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountant. The candidate should be Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
G. For AAO (Actuarial) - Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed 6 or more papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st February, 2020. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.
H. For AAO (Legal): Bachelors degree in Law or LLM from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Three years Bar experience is essential.
I. For AAO (Rajbhasha): Post Graduate Masters Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelors Degree level OR
Post Graduate Masters Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelors degree level
OR
Post Graduate Masters Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelors degree level.
J. For AAO (IT): Graduation degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics), or MCA or MSC (Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/ Institution

B) LIC Assistant Age – (As on 01.02.2020):
Minimum Age shall be 21 years (completed) as on 01.02.2020. Maximum age shall not be more than 30 years (candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.02.1990 and not later than 01.02.1999 both days inclusive only are eligible).
LIC Assistant Emoluments and Benefits:
Basic pay of Rs. 32795/- per month in the scale of Rs. 32795- 1610(14) –55335– 1745(4) –62315 and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale inclusive of House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance etc wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city will be approximately Rs 57,000/- per month in A Class city. Other benefits are Defined Contributory Pension, Gratuity, LTC, Cash Medical Benefit, Group Mediclaim, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Group Insurance, Vehicle Loan (2-wheeler/4 wheeler) as per rules, meal coupon, reimbursement of cost of Brief case/leather bags, mobile handset, supply of dailies and magazines and tea/coffee, mobile expenses, etc. as per rules. Candidates selected for the post of Assistant Administrative Officers (Chartered Accountant) with two years’ post qualification work experience on the date of eligibility are eligible for two advance increments.
LIC Assistant Service Conditions:
The service conditions will be applicable as per the prevalent rules of the LIC from time to time. The advertised posts are regular and selected candidates, on appointment, are liable to be posted or subsequently transferred anywhere in India. It may be noted that most of the vacancies of Assistant Engineers are at project locations. As such, after selection and successful completion of training, candidates will be posted to such locations and transferred as and when need arises.
LIC Assistant Probation :
A candidate after appointment shall be on probation for a period of one year from the date of joining. This period may be extended upto two years.
Guarantee Bond:
Before joining as a Probationer, candidates will be required to give an undertaking to serve LIC for a minimum period of four years from the date of joining (including probationary period) failing which, he/she or his /her heirs, executors, administrators will be liable to pay liquidated damages of Rs.5,00,000/-only (Rupees Five Lakhs only) + GST or the sum of amount the Executive Director (Personnel) may prescribe from time to time. GST or any other tax payable shall also be borne by the candidate. The candidate will have to submit Deed of Indemnity and surety at his cost, duly stamped and notarized, the stamp value of which will be as applicable to the State in which the deed is executed by the candidate.
LIC Assistant Selection Procedure :
Selection of Assistant Engineers and Assistant Administrative Officers will be done through a three tiered process and subsequent Pre-recruitment Medical examination.
Phase-I : Preliminary Examination
Phase-II : Main Examination
Phase-III: Interview
How to apply LIC Assistant Engineers and Architects and Recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officers (Specialist ) AAO Application Form:
Before applying online, candidates should be ready with/ for the following-
i. Scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature adhere to the required specifications.
ii. Have a valid personal email ID and mobile no., which should be kept active till the completion of this Recruitment Process. LIC may send call letters for the examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID and mobile number before applying on-line and must maintain that email account and mobile number.
Candidates can apply online from 25.02.2020 to 15.03.2020. No other mode for application will be accepted.
APPLICATION FEES/ INTIMATION CHARGES (NON REFUNDABLE) PAYMENT OF FEE ONLINE : 25.02.2020 TO 15.03.2020..
