UPPSC COMBINED STATE/UPPER SUBORDINATE Services Exam

The Combined State Upper Subordinate Services Examination is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) of India. 

Candidates applying for Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination-2021 should required to appear in the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (General Recruitment / Special Recruitment) (Preliminary) Examination and qualify the same for going to the second stage of Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Main Examination (Written) and Interview.

Candidates desirous of applying for Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination as well as for Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Services (General Recruitment / Special Recruitment) Examination can apply through a Common Online Application Form subject to meeting the requisite Eligibility Criteria by them.  

Number of UPPSC PCS Vacancies : - 416

Presently the number of vacancies for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination is about 400. Number of vacancies for the Assistant Conservator of Forest (A.C.F.) is 01 and number of vacancies for the Range Forest Officer (R.F.O.) is 15.  

Number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending upon the circumstances/requirements.

Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Block Development Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax), District Commandent Homeguards, Treasury Officer/Accounts Officer (Treasury), Cane Inspector and Assistant Sugar Commissioner, Superintendent Jail, Manager Credit (Small Industries), Manager Marketing and Economic Survey (Small Industries), Executive Officer Grade-I/Assistant Nagar Ayukta, District Basic Education Officer/Associate DIOS & other equivalent Administrative Posts, Assistant Director Industries (Marketing), Assistant Labour Commissioner, Senior Lecturer DIET, Designated Officer, Assistant Commissioner Industries, Statistical Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer, (Treasury), Commercial Tax Officer, District Minority Welfare Officer, District Food Marketing Officer, Executive Officer (Panchayati Raj), Deputy Secretary (Housing and Urban Planning), Area Rationing Officer, District Backward Welfare Officer, Naib Tehsildar, District Saving Officer, District Panchayat Raj Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, Accounts Officer (Nagar Vikas), District Supply Officer Grade-2, Additional District Development Officer (Social Welfare), Passenger/Goods Tax Officer, District Handicapped Welfare Officer, Assistant District Employment Assistance Officer, Accounts Officer (Local Bodies), Regional Employment Officer, Assistant Registrar (Cooperative), Sub Registrar, Assistant Prosecuting Officer (Transport), District Probation Officer, District Administrative Officer, District Audit Officer (Revenue Audit), Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade-1 and Grade-2), District Programme Officer, District Youth Welfare and Pradeshik Vikas Dal Officer, Labour Enforcement Officer, Excise Inspector, Child Development Project Officer, Food safety Officer and Deputy Jailor. Out of aforesaid posts, the requisitions received have been included in this Examination. The requisitions of the rest of the posts received before the result of Preliminary Examination may be added to this examination

The UPPSC Selection will be made on the basic of only written examination according to the provisions of their relevant service rules. The requisitions of the rest of the posts received before the result of Preliminary Examination may be added to this examination.

UP PCS ELIGIBILITY : The candidates must possess all the requisite qualifications/Eligibility conditions till the last date for submitting the applications. 

MARITAL STATUS : Male candidates who are married and have more than one wife living and female candidates who have married a person already having a wife, shall not be eligible unless the Honble. Governor has granted an exemption from this condition.  

UPPSC EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : For the posts included in the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (General Recruitment/Special Recruitment) Examination -

The candidates must possess Bachelors Degree of any recognised University or equivalent qualification upto the last date for receipt of application. This should be mentioned by the candidate in the relevant column of their application form but for some posts specific qualifications have been prescribed. The details of which are given as below :- 

1. Sub Registrar, Assistant Prosecuting Officer(Transport): Law Graduate

2. District Basik Shiksha Adhikari / Associate DIOS and Other equivalent administrative posts,

District Administrative Officer : Post Graduate Degree

3. District Audit Officer (Revenue Audit) : Graduation (Commerce)

4. Assistant Controller Legal Measurement (Grade-I) / Assistant Controller Legal

Measurement (Grade-II): Degree in Science with Physics or Mechanical

Engg. As one subject.

5. Assistant Labour Commissioner : Degree in Arts with Sociology or Economics as a

subject or Commerce/Law

6. District Programme Officer : Degree in Sociology or Social Science or Home

Science or Social Work.

7. Senior Lecturer, DIET : Post Graduate Degree with B.Ed.

8. District Probation Officer: Post Graduate Degree (Relevant Disciplines)

9. Child Development Project Officer : Graduate Degree in Sociology or Social Work or

Home Science or any qualification

10. Designated Officer / Food Safety Officer: PG Degree (Chemistry) or Bachelor’s Degree (Relevant Disciplines)

11. Statistical officer: PG (Relevant Disciplines)

12. District Cane Officer, U.P. Agriculture Service Group B (Development Branch): Graduation (Agriculture)

13. Labour Enforcement Officer: Bachelors Degree or PG Diploma/ Degree (Relevant Disciplines)

14. Principals, Government Intermediate Colleges (For Boys or Girls): PG, L.T. Diploma or B.T. or B.Ed

15. Assistant Research Officer: PG (Chemistry)

16. Assistant Director (Horticulture): Graduation (Agriculture)

17. Manager (Administration/General) : M.B.A. or Equivalent Degree

18. Assistant Store Purchase Officer : M.B.A.

19. Technical Assistant (Chemistry): PG (Chemistry)

II. Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF): Bachelors Degree (Relevant Disciplines)

AGE Limit for the UP PCS Combined State / Upper Sub-ordinate Services Examination and Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination: - Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on 1st July, 2021 i.e. they must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1981 and not later than 1st July, 2000

PLAN OF UPPSC PCS EXAMINATION :

The competitive examination for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (General Recruitment / Special Recruitment) Examination, 2021 and Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination, 2021 comprise three successive stages

(1) UPPSC PCS Preliminary Examination (Objective Type & Multiple choice).
(2) UPPSC PCS Main Examination (Conventional Type, i.e. Written examination).
(3) Viva-Voce (Personality Test).

The UPPSC PCS Preliminary Examination for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination and Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination will consist of two compulsory papers of which answer sheet be on OMR sheets. The UP PSC papers shall be 200 marks each and of two hours durations. Both the UP PSC papers shall be objective Type & multiple choice in which there shall be 150-100 questions Respectively. 

The UPPSC Main Written Examination is only for candidates who have been short listed through the UP PSC Preliminary Examination. UP PCS Main Examination COMPULSORY SUBJECTS:

1. General Hindi- 150 marks

2. Essay- 150 marks

3. General Studies (First Paper)- 200 marks

4. General Studies (Second Paper)- 200 marks

5. General Studies (Third Paper)- 200 marks

6. General Studies (Fourth Paper)- 200 marks

The candidates have to select any One subjects from the list of optional subjects for UPPSC PCS main examination which will consist of two papers.

UP PCS MAIN Compulsory Subject viz: General Hindi, Essay and General Studies (First, Second, Third and Fourth papers) Papers Shall be Conventional type and for solving the questions three hours time is allowed. For UPPSC MAIN optional Question papers three hours time is allowed. Two hundred maximum marks has been allotted for each optional question paper.

UP PCS Personality Test (Viva-Voce) (Marks 100) : The test will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence, character, expression power/personality and general suitability for the service.

UPPSC PCS Pay Scale / Grade Pay / Status of Post: The pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs 4600/- (except Naib Tehsildar whose grade pay is Rs. 4200/-) to Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-

Under the Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination

The Pay Scale, grade pay and status of Post are given as below:

Assistant conservator of Forest: Rs.15600/- to Rs.39100/-, Grade Pay- Rs.5400/-, Level-10 in the pay matrix Group “B”, Gazetted.

Range Forest Officer  of Forest : Rs. 9300/- to Rs. 34800/-, Grade Pay —Rs. 4800/-, (Level-8 pay matrix 47600 - 151100) Group “B”, Gazetted.

HOW TO APPLY UP PCS APPLICATION FORM - The online application system is only applicable for applying through Commissions website http://uppsc.up.nic.in.
Applications sent by any other mode shall not be entertained hence candidates are  advised to apply On-line only.

When the candidate clicks “ALL NOTIFICATIONS/ADVERTISEMENTS” on the Commission’s website http://uppsc.up.nic.in the On-line advertisement shall be automatically displayed, wherein there shall be 3 parts as given below:

 (i)        User instructions

 (ii)       View Advertisement

 (iii)      Apply

UP PCS APPLICATION FEE: In the UPPSC ON-LINE Application process, after completing the procedure of first stage, Category wise prescribed examination fee is to be deposited as per instructions provided in second stage. The prescribed fee of preliminary examination for different categories is as under:-

(i)  Unreserved/Economically weaker sections/Other Backward Class: Exam fee Rs. 100/- + On-line processing fee Rs. 25/- Total = Rs. 125/-

(ii) Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe : Exam fee Rs. 40/- + On-line processing fee Rs. 25/- Total =  Rs. 65/-

(iii) Handicapped: Exam fee NIL + On-line processing fee  Rs. 25/- Total = Rs. 25/-

(iv) Ex-Serviceman : Exam fee Rs. 40/- + On-line processing fee  Rs. 25/- Total = Rs. 65/-

 (v) Dependents of the Freedom Fighters/Women : According to their original category
