Date of Availability of Prospectus and online Application Form for PU-MET - 2022 on the website : February 14, 2022 (Monday)

Last date for PU MET submission of information on the website to generate the Fee Challan : April 05, 2022 (Tuesday)

Last date for deposit of fee in any branch of State bank of India using PU MET website generated challan : April 11, 2022 (Monday) upto 03:59 p.m.

Last date for uploading of photograph, signature with rest of the information on the PU MET website after depositing fee in SBI : April 13, 2022 (Wednesday)

Last date for receiving of copy of filled Application Form printout along with the requisite documents (if any) at UIAMS by registered post/speed post or by hand April 20, 2022 upto 4:00 p.m.

Final date by which PU MET Roll No. will be available online Roll No. and Centre of Examination will be generated and Roll No. slip required to be downloaded from the website by the candidate using their own Login and Password (provided while generating Bank Challan). There will be no physical communication for this purpose:  April 21, 2022 (Thursday)

PANJAB UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT ENTRANCE TEST (PU MET) 

University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS) Panjab University, Chandigarh has been started at P.U. Campus to offer management Programmes in Sectoral areas and streams so as to fulfill industry needs and requirements for specialized managerial skills. 

The Panjab University will hold entrance test on April 23, 2022 (Saturday) for admission to following MBA programmes for the academic session 2022-23 at University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS)
(i)  Retail Management
(ii)  Banking and Insurance Management      
(iii) I.T. & Telecommunications Management
(iv) Infrastructural Management      
(v)  Pharmaceutical Management
(vi) Hospital Management  

(Vii) Capital Markets

Panjab University Management Courses at UIAMS are for duration of 2 years (4 semesters)

PUMET Eligibility Criteria : 

A. PUMET MBA (Retail Management), MBA (Capital Markets) and MBA (Banking & Insurance Management):
A Bachelors or Master Degree in any discipline of Panjab University or of any other university which has been recognized by the syndicate as equivalent thereto with not less than 50%* marks in the aggregate. Provided that in case of candidates having Bachelor’s degree of the University through Modern Indian Languages [Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi (Gurumukhi Script)] and/or in a classical language (Sanskrit/ Persian/Arabic) or degree of any other university obtained in the same manner recognized by the Syndicate, 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all the papers in Language excluding the additional optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together. 

                                        OR 

Pass in the final examination conducted by either (a) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, or (b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or (c) Institute of Company Secretaries of India 

                                     OR 

AMIE examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and have at least 5 years research/teaching or professional experience. 

B. PUMET MBA (IT & Telecommunication Management) and MBA (Infrastructural Management)
Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology, i.e. B.E./B. Tech. (in any Branch) of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in the aggregate. 

                                            OR 

Bachelors degree in any Science subject with Physics and/or Mathematics of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in the aggregate. 

                                           OR 

Bachelors in Computer Applications (BCA) of Punjab University or any of the other University recognized by the Panjab University as equivalent there to with atleast 50%* marks in the aggregate. 

                                           OR 

AMIE examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and have at least 5 years research/teaching or professional experience.

C. PUMET MBA (Pharmaceutical Management) : 

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy of Panjab University or of any other university recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50% marks in aggregate. 

                                       OR 

M.B.B.S of Panjab University or of any other univrersity recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in aggregate. 

                                       OR 

Bachelors Degree in any Science subject of Panjb University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%* marks in the aggregate AND Diploma in Pharmacy of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%‡ marks in aggregate.

D. PUMET MBA (Hospital Management) :    

MBBS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BDS/ B. Pharmacy/ B.Sc (Nursing)/ Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) of Panjab University or a degree of any other University which has been recognized by the syndicate as equivalent thereto with not less than 50%* marks in the aggregate.  

                      OR 

B.Sc (Medical)/B.Sc.(Biotechnology)/B.Sc. (Biochemistry) of Panjab University or of any other University recognized by Panjab University as equivalent there to with at least 50%*marks in the aggregate

How to Apply PUMET APPLICATION FORM: A candidate desirous of taking the PU MET Entrance Test should fill the application form online and further submit printed copy of the Application form under Registered Cover or personallyat the following address on or before April 20, 2022 up to 4:00 p.m.

PUMET Tentative dates are as under :

 PU MET SCHEME OF TEST

The PUMET Entrance Test will carry 85% weightage and be of 2 hours duration. It will consist of multiple-choice questions having four responses.

The components of the PU MET test will include :
(i) General Knowledge
(ii) Economics and Business Environment Awareness
(iii) Data interpretation and problem solving
(iv) Numerical Ability
(v) Verbal Ability / Reasoning
(vi) English Comprehension

The PUMET admission will be made on the basis of the Entrance Test (85% weightage), Group Discussion (7.5% weightage) and Personal Interview (7.5% weightage).
The comprehensive result after the Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be notified on the UIAMS notice board as well as the UIAMS website.
